2-Minute Updated Messy Bun

Ages ago, I did a blog post entitled “How To:  Messy Bun”. It was one of my first ever posts, and let’s be honest, it wasn’t that great, so today I am bringing you an update to the disaster, to the best of my ability. By the way, hair blog posts are SOOO much more difficult to do than regular posts, it’s so hard to explain everything and also show, but I tried my best to make this somewhat clear for y’all, my community, ma’ peeps.

You’ll need…

  • 2 hair ties
  • optional, several bobby pins

  • put your hair up in a ponytail, like so

(ay yo all my bare-faced fellas wussuuuup)

  • twist your hair, once again, like so:

…and form it in kind of a rose’s shape (v hard to explain, there you go, take the photo)

My hair is actually quite uneven, so you can see bits of hair peaking out, but I think I quite like the effect they’re giving, it makes it all look messily-put-together, if that makes sense. x

  • now secure it all down w your other hair tie. To make it messy, LITERALLY pull bits of hair out of the ‘rose’ and from the base, so that the baby-hair disastrous situation from above seems…somewhat unnoticeable.

Love ya. Cheers, bye x

My Go-to Everyday Hairstyle this Summer

Hey, y’all

I don’t know about you, but sometimes, especially in summertime, I just don’t know what to do with my hair, and whenever I try one of those very fancy looking hairstyles on Tumblr, I end up looking like the horse from this meme:

index NOT funny.

It would just look a mess, so when I saw this hairstyle, that is SUPPOSED to look messy, I thought to myself: JACKPOT. So hair‘s how you get the look. (welcome to pun city.)

You will need:

  • 2 hair ties (that’s literally all you need)

Start off by putting a bit of your hair up like so:

Then, twist the ponytail that you obtained and roll it around the hair tie, to make it kind of look like a rose. After that, secure it with your other hair elastic. If it looks bad, trust me, it’s just fine.

Now, make it messier by pulling bits of hair from the bun, just until it looks the way you want it to.

And that’s it!

I really do hope that you give this a try yourself, because it really is super easy and looks cute. xx

Love ya. Cheers, bye x

How To: Messy Bun

DSC_3452.JPGHey y’all!

Hey, so today I’m going to show you how to achieve a Messy Bun. I have to say, that I don’t do this every single day, I only do when my hair is incredibly greasy, which happens, since I only wash my hair once a week (I know, it seems gross, but the more often you wash your hair, the more you damage it), and this hairstyle hides it perfectly  😀

So, here is the ‘tutorial’:

You will need…:

  • Hair donut;
  • 2 hair ties;
  • bobby pins are optional;

  1. Brush your hair and separate your fringe (if you have one) from the rest of it.

2. Put your hair in a high ponytail, the higher, the better

3. Put on your hair donut, (but if you don’t have one, you can just wrap your hair around the hair tie like a rose, and secure it down with another elastic) and put your hair over it, as usual, and secure it with a band.

4. Wrap the excess hair around and under the elastic, kind of stuffing it in there.

5. Make it messy! Pull hair from here and there, also in the actual bun, till you get as much volume you want  🙂

And here is the finished result:

This hairstyle is stupid easy, looks cute and is very practical. I really hope you’ll give it a try. Love ya. Cheers, bye ❤
